Quanta Meeting Focuses on Synergy
In late June, existing Quanta operating companies (Partners)
met in Houston for two days to welcome new companies that have just joined
the Quanta team.
Each partner company gave a presentation outlining who they
were, where they operated and what kind of work they did. It was an impressive
program with 51 companies reporting. Many of the firms, including Underground,
have joined forces on jobs with other Quanta companies to perform work that
ordinarily they would not be able to take on alone. In these instances 1
plus 1 equals 3 or more!
In addition, members of the Headquarters staff made presentations
on subjects that affect us all. Safety topped the list, but also included
were Benefits Update, Information Technology, Asset Management, Casualty
Insurance Renewal, Acquisition Program Statistics and Contractor License
issues. |
We also had outside experts who discussed
anti-trust issues and publicly traded stock transactions. Both were very
interesting and informative.
The meeting finished up with breakout sessions for the Telecommunications,
Cable and Electric Power Groups. The theme was to brainstorm ways that Quanta
companies could find even more ways to work together to provide better,
more comprehensive services to our customers. This is an exciting area where
we can offer more to our customers than we could possibly do individually.
"These talented companies are absolutely
vital to the future of the United States."
Quanta has assembled a highly qualified group of Partner companies with
talented, motivated employees. This group is capable of doing virtually
any job to build, improve, restore or repair the Telecommunications, Cable
and Electric Power Infrastructure in America. These talented companies are
absolutely vital to the future of the United States.
Underground Construction Co., Inc. is proud to be associated with this
fine group and we welcome the new Quantan's into the fold. |
