New date, different location, same great event! This year's Underground
Invitational Golf tournament featured a change of venue and moved from a
Monday in June to a Friday in May. Same cast of characters, Underground
employees and valued customers and vendors, enjoyed near perfect weather
at the Chardonnay Golf Club in Napa.
The winds were low and the scoring high at this year's event as Underground
logoed balls sprinkled the tall grasses and other natural areas. I think
we set a record for most golf balls used by a single tournament. But the
challenging links couldn't dampen the spirits of this great day.
The day concluded with a sampling of the spirits, a hearty meal and recognition
of the day's champions.
We wish to thank Sonja Gossling and her able staff, Donna Board, Rhonda
Williams, Jeanette Hunter, Tom Cornett, Loren Hudson and the always-helpful
Mike Woods, for another great outing.
