Job Profile

 Rocky Ripper

Rocky Ripper

Your goal is to dig 12' deep, 14' wide and 40' long and to install a Controlled Environmental Vault (CEV). This sounds like a daunting task in itself. When you are digging in solid rock, the task is almost insurmountable. It takes a heavy-duty excavator to dig in rock and not just any bucket will do. A special bucket designed just for rock, requires frequent maintenance and periodic removal and replacement of the "rock teeth."

Such is the way of life in Roseville - where our forces go into the elements everyday to do battle, and where "Rocky Ripper" was born.

"Rocky Ripper" is the creation of Dave Gross, Tom McDonald, and Meliton Ortega in recognition of their crew's expertise and hard work performed for the Roseville Telephone Company.

When you see "Rocky Ripper" displayed on the bright orange tee -shirts worn proudly by the crew of Roseville, you will know that these workers meet their goal everyday.
